| 16 January 2012 Dear Members, Volunteers, Friends of Haiti and AHDH Bonne et Heureuse annee 2012 a tous Bonjour tout le monde, We are 6 weeks away from our 53rd medical mission. Thank you to all who called or wrote to cancel or confirm so we can begin our preparations. Team I (February 17 to February 26) is now complete. Team II (February 25 to March 4th) is still open. Airfare is very high. We are still hoping the fares will drop in the next 2 weeks although this may be unlikely. The number of vacant seats is shrinking. Continue to monitor them closely. We must book at least 30 days in advance. Please confirm time and dates with us before final booking. Fees for changes are high. We have a great team so far: ophthalmologists, optometrists, engineers, internists, surgeons, terrific high school students, pediatricians, ob-gyns, ultrasonographer, anesthesiologists, family practice, nurses, midwives, dentists, biomedical engineers, businesspersons/coordinators, photography instructor/archivist, wonderful support personel etc We will offer as usual general clinics. We will also offer general surgical, ophthalmological, gynecological and dental procedures. We will arrive in Port au Prince on different flights but will all meet at the baggage claim area before 12PM. I'll send another email with specific instructions.
