| The Presbyterian Church, USA, and the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti have a covenant to work together on improving health care in Haiti. This nursing school is one of the projects of that covenant. |
| The school's mission is to offer a professional program of study in Nursing Science, incorporating public health principles, to prepare the graduates for effective healthcare as clinicians, leaders and agents of change. |
| Students are admitted from all parts of Haiti on merit after meeting university requirements. Admission is made without regard to age, gender, marital status or religion. |
